Annette St. Pierre-MacKoul, M.D.
Dr. Annette, better known as Mrs. Dr. Koul, was born in Rockville
Center, New York. Her birthday is April 13, 1961 (even though it
is only 5 days after Dr. David’s, he forgets it every year).
She grew up on Long Island and attended Adelphi University in Garden
City, New York. She then attended Tufts University Medical School,
where the two doctors met. They married during their third year
of school. Annette took a year leave of absence to save money for
their first child. She worked for an outpatient psychiatric facility.
During her third year of medical school, she had their first child,
Virginia.
Dr. Annette did her training and residency at the New England Medical
Center’s Boston Floating Hospital. On match day, the day when
doctors find out about their residency’s, Dr's. David, Annette
and Virginia made the front page of the Boston Herald. This started
her public image figure. During residency, Dr. Annette had their
second child, Christopher.

After residency, she joined
her husband in private practice in Leominster, Massachusetts for four
years during which time she gave birth to their third child, Andrew.
During this time, Dr. Annette wrote a newspaper column for the Worcester
Telegram and Gazette. Finally, she convinced her husband to move to
Florida.
In Florida Dr. Annette has been very active with the YMCA, WINK-TV,
medical breakthroughs with the local hospitals, and Florida Parenting
News with an Ask Dr. Koul column. She is also a Hope Hospice Volunteer
with her daughter Virginia. Dr. Annette is also a Certified Parent
Educator in Redirecting Children’s Behavior.
